Kinshaya Greater Globe

Greater
Globe Class IX - XII Cruiser
Known Sphere of Operation: Tyranny-wide use
Data Reliability: E
Major Data Source: Klingon Intelligence
The information on the Greater Globe
comes from the same single source as the Lesser Globe, the critically important
Veiled Dagger scans. During its
attempt to gather data on the Kinshaya, the scout ship encountered both Lesser and Greater Globes. It is unknown if it was just bad
luck on the Veiled Dagger‘s part, a
stroke of good luck for the Kinshaya, or if the Demons possess an unknown means
to detect cloaked ships, but the group of Kinshaya ships discovered the scout
and quickly had her surrounded and smothered the area with the hapless Klingon
ship in it with massed volleys of proximity fused photons. Unable to escape,
the scout managed to separate the heavily damaged boom section just before the
wrecked engineering section succumbed to the Kinshaya barrage.
The information presented here is on
the larger of the two major classes dubbed the Greater Globe by Klingon
Intelligence. The Veiled Dagger is
believed to have encountered two of the Type 1, two of the Type 2 Lesser Globes
and one Greater Globe during her ill fated encounter. The Greater Globe
encountered is estimated to be one of the Type 2 variants. The information on
the weaker Type 1 and stronger Type 3 are based off of computer modeling of the
available data recovered.
The Type 2 would be considered a
heavy cruiser on a par with the L-42/B’rel in Klingon service or the newest
versions of the Constitution or V-30 in the service of the other great powers. Possessing
heavy firepower, thick armor, massive shielding, and high warp speed
capabilities, the Type 2 is a match for any ship of its size in any fleet of
any power. The most amazing feature of the Type 1 and 2 is the extreme
maneuverability for ships of their size. The conjectured Type 3 would be a
match for any battleship now serving in the fleets of any of the great powers.
Intelligence analysts have remained
consistent in their estimations of Kinshaya capabilities and have kept the
troop carrying capability conjectured on the Lesser Globe as a standard feature
on the Greater Globe as well. As with the Lesser Globe, the numbers of ships
believed to be in service are the product of extensive computer modeling and
have to be considered the least reliable part of the entire report on the
Kinshaya.
